Caroline & Rob’s Laid-Back, Fun Wedding at Saw Grinders Union

Some weddings just have that effortless cool factor, and Caroline and Rob’s day at Saw Grinders Union was exactly that—relaxed, stylish, and packed with personality.

Morning Prep with a View

Kicking things off at the prep location, we were treated to stunning views across Sheffield. Caroline—who, by the way, is an incredibly talented wedding florist—was still busy arranging flowers for the day. Absolute legend. Calm as a cucumber, just casually prepping blooms for her own wedding like it was nothing.

The morning had it all—laughter, fruit, and some of the best pastries you’ll ever eat (Caroline swears by them). The getting ready part ran just over enough to keep Rob sweating at the venue—classic. But honestly, it worked in their favour, considering the unexpected power cuts around Kelham. Saw Grinders Union, already an atmospheric venue, took on an even more intimate and candlelit feel because of it.

The Ceremony – Cosy & Full of Love

When Caroline finally arrived, Rob’s reaction said it all—besotted. And rightly so—she looked absolutely stunning. The ceremony, led by Electric Joy Ceremonies, was cosy, warm, and full of the kind of moments that just hit you right in the feels.

Confetti, Smoke Bombs & All the Fun

As soon as they walked out, the confetti came flying, and the real party started. Smoke grenades? Check. Sparklers as the night rolled in? Double check. The whole day was packed with fun, laughter, and those tiny, unexpected momentsthat make weddings unforgettable.

Twinkling Lights, Emotional Speeches & A Surprise First Dance

The food? Ridiculously good. When the power came back on, the venue lit up with twinkling lights, setting the perfect mood for speeches and first dances. There were tears, belly laughs, and everything in between.

And then, in true Caroline fashion, she had one more surprise up her sleeve—a first dance for her maid of honour, who had secretly married abroad. Honestly, that sums her up perfectly—thoughtful, meticulous with details, but never losing the fun and relaxed vibe she wanted for herself and Rob.

Caroline & Rob, thank you for having me—your day was something special, and I think I’m still recovering!
